About the Project

Learn about the team, motivation, and future goals for this project.

As international students at Notre Dame, we (Salvador and Chris) arrived in the U.S. from developing South American countries with a shared vision of America as the place to be for endless economic opportunity and equality. Yet, as we immersed ourselves in the data and realities of this country, we discovered deep-rooted challenges that resemble struggles of our own nations. Issues like gender wage gaps, racial and ethnic disparities, housing affordability crisis, and persistent poverty reveal that these problems occur everywhere and are much more complex. Through our analysis, we aim to deep dive into the type of inequalities to support informed action and decisions to address these topics. By sharing transparent data, insightful research, and meaningful recommendations, we hope to continue polishing insightful decisions. Together, we can take informed steps toward addressing these challenges, ensuring that the promise of prosperity extends to all.
